Ali began her fitness career as an All-American lacrosse goalie, which earned her a full-five-year scholarship to Temple University. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, the study of human movement. Ali simultaneously enrolled at the Philadelphia School of Massage, where she studied massage therapy, shiatsu, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, and many other techniques. Upon graduation, Ali earned professional certifications from the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), American Council of Exercise (ACE), AFAA’s Kickboxing, International Fitness Professional Association (IFPA) in Advanced Personal Training, IFPA’s Sports Nutrition, Body Mind & Soul’s Yoga Certification in California, two levels of Usui System of Natural Healing Certification, and four levels of Equinox Fitness Training Institute (EFTI) from California. Ali has also completed her Masters in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health.

Ali has gained the title, ‘Miss Maryland Fitness 2003’ and completed her first marathon in Ireland. She moved to Los Angeles to experience celebrity training, where she trained Janice Dickinson (America’s Top Model TV show) and Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV). After her years in Hollywood, she returned to Baltimore to open her own private training facility, True Balance Studio. Her mission is to motivate, inspire and educate others to be healthy and to help them accomplish their fitness and health goals.

Mom & Me Boot Camp    As a mother, I understand how hard it is to work everything in.  This class is designed to have an interactive mother or father and child, of any age, workout.  Your child can join in the fun, hang our in a carrier or roll around on a mat.  The goal is to give the parent a chance to burn some calories and release some stress!

Kickboxing is an excellent way to develop cardio endurance, increase flexibility, and tone the body. The goal of this lunch time workout is to get out of the office and release  frustration, move the body and sweat off all the kinks. Fun, powerful, and explosive movements are designed for an intense workout not for back alley fighting. We use pads, bags, gloves, and target tools. No equipment or experience is necessary, we train you at the level you are to enhance your performance at a safe and progressive rate.

Train Smart Break free from the hustle and bustle of your day to learn many ways to repair and stabilize your joints. We will train your wrists to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome that often results from too many hours at your computer. You will learn to strengthen your core to reverse the effects of driving and sitting all day. Each week, we will learn safe and affective ways to stabilize and fortify the shoulder joints and strengthen the neck, knees, and hips in order to avoid and/or repair injuries.

Strength More people need to be less intimidated by the weight room. No one should be expected to know how to workout unless he/ she has studied exercise physiology or been trained by a trainer. There are many ways to get hurt in a weight room and a million ways to achieve greatness. This class will constantly strive to find new exercises to improve form and technique, as well as provide an environment that is less intimidating to work out on your own. Please come to class with any questions, or areas of concern, and we can structure the workout for you. What may be great for one person may not be great for someone else. This class is designed for all levels of fitness, especially for anyone that has had injuries in the past and wants to learn to workout properly.

Zumba Love to dance? Then you will love today's hottest trend which burns calories and tones those troubled areas. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a great dancer or know how to follow crazy choreography, just shake that body and keep moving to our Latin inspired dance fitness class. So fun! Make sure you bring your dance sneakers, they have a circle on the bottom of the shoe to allow for less torque on the knees. This class is high intensity cardio, but you can move at your own speed or level. All levels of fitness are invited to join the fun!

Balance This class is excellent program for seniors, post rehabilitation, or those who need better balance and flexibility.  

High-intensity interval training (HIIT)   A form of interval training, an exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. This class will also combine strength movements and core.
